ENCUENTROS: UNIENDO LO DESGARRADO

AT CENTRO CULTURAL DE ESPAÑA

EN LA PAZ

Encuentros invites us on a journey from fracture to union, proposing art as a tool for emotional healing. The exhibition explores collective and personal wounds, creating spaces of care and protection that culminate in the celebration of what connects us.

Using recycled and discarded textiles, Alex Hug transforms forgotten materials into works that tell powerful, necessary stories. Her practice delves into global anguish—violence, mental health, climate crisis, and feminist struggle—seeking to forge connections within an increasingly fragmented society.

Through this emotional journey, art becomes an act of repair: transforming pain into strength and difference into unity. From pieces that denounce gender violence to installations of refuge and collective patchwork, Encuentros reminds us that even what has been torn can be mended—and that healing together is both possible and necessary.
